Yes, I know it’s way too early to start Christmas decorating. Joannie won’t sing Christmas songs or put up one strand of tinsel until she sees Santa in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. If that old geezer ever falls off his sleigh before the end of the show I guess we won’t have a Christmas that year. But I was tired of my Halloween nails and didn’t want to paint them like a turkey, so I’m left with Christmas.
I used China Glaze ‘White on White’ as a base color, then layered China Glaze ‘Party Hearty’ which is clear with red and green glitter. I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but the glitter lays amazingly flat and smooth even before the top coat. I considered using a light green instead of the white, but I think that would wash out the green glitters. Still plenty of time to experiment before the Old Elf brings up the end of the parade.
Update: It was time for a touch up anyway, but instead I did a redo and changed the white base to China Glaze, “In the lime light” which is a light green. I like it better, but it works both ways.
