Okay, I don’t like to blow my own horn all the time, but here goes. Thanks to a new polish product from China Glaze, (although I see Sally Hansen has the same thing or close to it) I’ve really gone above and beyond what I ever thought I’d get this side of a really expensive professional manicure.
Here’s all that is required to get these awesome looking nails.
I used a clear base coat, (always a good idea) and then neon yellow, neon orange, and deep red in bands from the nail bed out to the tip. No need to be too careful about this step thanks to the next. After the colors are dry, I used China Glaze’s Black Crackle over coat. Just brush it on medium thick and then don’t touch it for 4 or 5 minutes. It shrinks and pulls back off the color in a very cool random look that would take skill and talent to duplicate with just brush and polish, and if I had even tried it would have looked like “Texas Chainsaw Manicure”.
All I’ve tried so far is the black crackle, but it comes in white, gray, other colors, and even metallic shades.
Same technique, other colors.
